“Basilica Ulpia”
— an AR app

 

 

[purpose]:

       

         1. Use AR to display a historical building and related information

       

[idea]:

 

This is an application that users can use mobile to scan the map(the Trajan Forum map), and the 3D model Basilica Ulpia will appear on the specific position of the map.

 

[software + hardware]:

        Unity 3D + Vuforia + mobile phone

 

[function]:

1. Open the AR app in my phone and aim its camera to the specific Trajan map

2. 3D model of Basilica Ulpia  will appear

3. Users can put their phone close to the map, then they can see many details, or they can go around the map, then they can look around the Basilica building, even the back of it.

4. Some buttons and info spots to let users learn more about Basilica Ulpia.

5. A button “About Basilica”, press this button, there would be a brief introductory text about Basilica Ulpia;

6. A Button”show Interior”, if pressed, users can see the inside of the Basilica Ulpia (this model is so detailed, you can even count the pillars there and see its beautiful texture)

7. Set two yellow info spots, separately introducing the Trajan’s sculpture in front of Basilica Ulpia and the hall for salary freedom at the right side. People can use these buttons to know Trajan Forum and Basilica Ulpia very well.
